  1. Ah, I too was trying to get down his list. I took some quick photos with my cellphone but missed the first screen that had the bulk of his book references. Please post them if you managed to capture with a DVR ... thanks!

  2. TY for your comment "S." DVR's a lifesaver!
    FYI BookTV archives these recordings on their website. Here's the rest:
    MUST WE MEAN WHAT WE SAY?-Stanley Cavell;
    THE USES OF ARGUMENT-Stephen Toumlin;
    PERSONAL DESTINIES-David L. Norton;
    ACTS OF OUR BEING-Ed Pols;
    LIBERTY AND NATURE-Rasmussen & Den Uyl.
    Greatest Influences on Tibor Machan:
    Prof Peter Diamandoloulos, Greek emigrant & fabulous teacher; Morton Beckner, Claremont Colleges, a fave philosophy of science prof; Philip Merlin who taught to Scripps;
    Harold Rood, historian at CMC & a fierce critic of Machan's views, yet was extremely respectful toward Machan;
    John Wheatley at UCSB was a very helpful & friendly prof, a student of J. L. Austin-a fave contemporary philospher of Machan.
    Then there are the plethora of books Machan has written.
    So many books, so little time! Hope this helps & thanks for visiting. You may be interested in my other blog at crankybubbe. This one is actually for my family, but I'm glad you found me anyway!
